A 211 phone service covering the Lower Mainland -- Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, from Lillooet and Hope to Bowen Island -- is now available, thanks to funding from the United Way.
By dialing 211, callers seeking help with social problems but having difficulty finding an appropriate service can receive help 24 hours a day from certified information and referral specialists.
