| Allergies/Special Needs | Summer is in Grade 9. She has found school very difficult over the years. She has found reading and writing especially difficult and has been diagnosed with dyslexia. Things have improved a little with the extra help she gets from her special education assistant but its still very hard. Over the past few months she has been finding it increasingly difficult to cope with all aspects of her life, even getting out of bed in the morning seems pointless. Sometimes she feels so dead inside she cuts her arms just to feel something. At times she has also been violent and physically abusive to her friends and family. She has recently been seen by a psychiatrist who diagnosed Depression and commenced her on desipramine. She told the psychiatrist that she’d rather die and she needs to be monitored very carefully to ensure she does not harm herself. Difficulties with writing |
| Medications | Currently taking Desipramine |
| Family Doctor | Dr. Irene Fitzper, Psychiatrist |
| Special Notes: | Summer is extremely crafty. She knits and sews and likes to do patchwork. She also enjoys doing puzzles and keeping her hands busy. Summer has been disinterested in activities she used to enjoy. She needs encouragement. |
