Angie's Stay With Auntie Marilou
(March 15 - April 7/05)
March 15 - After Angie was introduced at the Vancouver Foster Club meeting, she went to stay with her Auntie Marilou, Uncle Roger and family. Their four foster children and son were excited to welcome her. She was a bit shy but Tamara and Sarah took her hand, hugged her and took her on a tour of the house and showed her her room.
March 17 - After dinner the children listened to music and played their musical instruments (recorder, violin and piano). Angie joined them with her guitar in playing the rune of the Titanic song.
March 19 - Twas the start of spring break. The children did chores during the day and Angie observed them. Later in the afternoon we went to Mario Gelato for an ice cream treat. Angie was amazed to see that there were 208 ice cream flavors!
March 21 - A seven-year-old boy was placed in our home today. The children, including Angie tried their best to be gentle and friendly with him. He settled in quickly and played with the others. Angie moved to Tamara's room, as they are both teenagers.
We did a variety of activities over the holiday - swimming at the pool, biking, Laser Tag and a trip to Crash Crawley's. At home they played Nintendo and board games. Most of all they enjoyed going shopping at Metrotown.
March 27 - The children decided not to have an Easter Egg Hunt, but instead we accompanied them to Purdy's Chocolate Factory. They all wanted to taste the white chocolate Easter Bunny.
March 30 - Back to school today. Angie busied herself playing her
Guitar and reading books.
April 6 - It was time to say goodbye. Tamara helped Angie pack up
Her things. We all had a good time with Angie
